If you are thinking of leaving a gift to ICON Ministry in your Will, there are many ways you can leave a gift that feels right for you. It’s also important to speak with your family and loved ones about your intentions and to let them know that leaving a gift to ICON Ministry is important to you. 

A few examples that may suit your individual circumstances include leaving: 

• A specific sum of cash or a percentage of the value of your estate 

• A gift of real estate 

• An investment such as stocks, bonds, shares or an artwork 

• A residual gift (the balance of your estate after all other provisions have been met) 

• Or any combinations of these 

• A Will must be carefully planned, drawn up, and executed to ensure your wishes will be effectively carried out. 

• You can contact a solicitor, the Public Trustee, or the Law Society in your state or territory for advice about preparing a Will. 

• You can complete an online Will – we can provide links to businesses that offer this service but we encourage you to evaluate all options before making any decision. 

• Trustee companies specialise in preparing Wills and do not charge a fee if they are appointed executor of the estate – they can however charge an executor fee. 

By leaving a gift in your Will to ICON Ministry you will assist our global outreach to share the message of the Holy Gospels. You will also be helping to bring people into the Catholic Church paving the way for future generations to receive the gift of faith, leaving a lasting legacy. 

Important Notes 

We recommend that you review your Will regularly to reflect your current circumstances, keep it safe and easy-to-access, and advise your executors where the original is kept. 

If you already have a Will and would like to support ICON MINISTRY without rewriting the entire document, a codicil can be drawn up – please speak to your legal advisor about this. 

Unless otherwise specified by you, donations in your Will are invested in FRG Ministry Outreach programs, which supports our evangelisation outreach in an ongoing way. It is a gift that shall assist us to continue our work of Catholic mission. 

Gifts made unconditionally can be directed to the area of greatest need. If you choose to make a gift for a specific purpose, we ask that you make this a wish, not a condition. This gives us the flexibility to transfer your gift to a similar area of work if it is no longer possible to fund the specific area you request.

Our outreach covers a great range of programs including Online Mass and Devotions, Online Resources and Live Events for schools and parish groups, Pilgrimages, Online Faith Games for Youth, and Spiritual Formation and support for young people in developing countries. 

ICON Ministry is an entity of FRG Ministry Australia and it is appropriate that any bequest is written for FRG Ministry Australia 

FRG Ministry Australia is a not-for-profit charity that accepts donations from Australia and the rest of the world. Donations to FRG Ministry Australia are not tax deductible for the donor. 

Should you generously decide to include a gift to FRG Ministry Australia in your Will, please ensure you use our correct wording as listed below 

Percentage Bequest

“I give to FRG Ministry Australia ABN 22 125 928 307 _______% of my Estate free of all duties for the general purposes of FRG MINISTRY AUSTRALIA, and the receipt of the Executive Director or Administration Coordinator (or other proper officer at the time) of FRG MINISTRY AUSTRALIA shall be sufficient discharge for the executor and the executor is not bound to see to its application.” 

Residual Bequest

“I give to FRG Ministry Australia ABN 22 125 928 307 the residue of my Estate free of all duties for the general purposes of FRG MINISTRY AUSTRALIA, and the receipt of the Executive Director or Administration Coordinator (or other proper officer at the time) of FRG MINISTRY AUSTRALIA shall be sufficient discharge for the executor and the executor is not bound to see to its application.” 

Specific Sum Bequest

If you are a US citizen for tax purposes and you generously decide to include a gift to FRG Ministry International in your Will, please ensure you use our correct wording as listed below.

Yes, your donation and any correspondence will be kept in the strictest confidence, ICON Ministry won’t publicly acknowledge your gift.. 

We do encourage you to speak with your family and loved ones about your intentions and to let them know that leaving a gift to ICON Ministry is important to you. 

When you include a gift in your Will to ICON (FRG) MINISTRY and let us know about it, our team will pray for you and we will include your intention at a Sunday Mass.
